Asha\u2019s Manchester sole Indian restaurant to be named to<\/em> 2017 Michelin Guide while Dubai bags two TripExpert awards<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n

Asha\u2019s Dubai has added a new accolade to our long list of awards as a recently announced recipient of New York-headquartered travel review site TripExpert\u2019s 2017 Experts\u2019 Choice Awards. The only travel award based on professional reviews, Experts\u2019 Choice reflects recommendations in leading travel guides, magazines and newspapers, and Asha\u2019s Dubai also received TripExpert\u2019s Best of Dubai award with the site noting that \u2018travellers can be confident that it is an outstanding choice for dining out in Dubai\u2019.<\/p>\n

Asha\u2019s Manchester makes Michelin guide<\/h6>\n

At the same time, over 5,000 kilometres away and a mere 12 months after opening our doors for business, Asha\u2019s Manchester has been recognised for its contribution to the city\u2019s emerging culinary scene with a listing in the 2017 Michelin Guide. \u201cThis is the first and only time that an Indian restaurant has been featured, and is fantastic endorsement not only for the Asha\u2019s brand and our commitment to delivering uniquely authentic North West Indian cuisine with a contemporary flavour, but also of Manchester\u2019s increasingly diverse restaurant landscape,\u201d says Sue Potter, Managing Director, Asha\u2019s Restaurants International Limited. One of only 25 Manchester dining destinations recognised this year, the 100-seater restaurant has also been shortlisted in the upcoming Manchester Food and Drink Festival awards for Best Front of House Team.<\/p>\n

Celebrating 15 years of awards<\/h6>\n

Sister restaurant, Asha\u2019s Birmingham, has been a Michelin regular since 2010, and also received its eighth consecutive listing this year. \u201cSince we opened our first restaurant in Dubai in 2002, Asha\u2019s has consistently garnered diner and industry recognition with more than 50 awards to date. \u201cOur success is underpinned by the talented culinary and front-of-house teams in each of the 13 restaurants in the portfolio but is undoubtedly due to our namesake, Asha Bhosle, who personally supervises the selection and grinding of our signature spice masalas in Mumbai,\u201d says Potter. The second half of this year could see the world\u2019s first global Indian restaurant chain add more trophies to the awards cabinet with Chef Navin Chauhan (Culinary Operations Manager and Chef) being nominated for The 3rd<\/sup> Middle East Hospitality Excellence Awards 2017. Chef Ashwani Rangta Asha\u2019s Manchester Head Chef has been shortlisted for the Indian International Chef of the Year Award, which takes place in London this October, and Asha\u2019s Dubai entering multiple categories in the annual Middle East Hospitality Excellence Awards 2017.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
